摘要
Narcissus tazetta belongs to the family Amaryllidaceae. It is an endangered and medicinal plant grown in Jordan and neighboring countries. A protocol has been developed for efficient rapid micropropagation of Narcissus tazetta through adventitious shoot induction. One type of explant has been used which is multi bulb scale explants. Field-derived material was successfully sterilised using 70% ethanol for 3 mins. and 1% NaOCl for 20 mins followed by hot water treatment for 1 hour at 54 degrees C before dissecting out bulb scales. The results showed that high adventitious shoot formation was obtained by supplementing the culture medium with high ratio concentration of BAP to low NAA concentration, which are (0.0, 44.4 mu M) for T4 and (2.7, 44.4 mu M) for T7. On the other hand best rooting results were obtained when supplementing the culture medium with NAA alone.
