A CABRI plot generator to describe frequency and time domain properties of SOPTD responses

This document presents a plot generator which creates a particular representation of frequency- and time-domain properties of a desired second-order plus time delay (SOFTD) response. The main reason of this proposal is based on the fact that the response of most industrial applications may be modeled by a second-order transfer function. This paper shows a graphical procedure using CABRI to represent properties, either in the frequency domain or in the time domain, of SOPTD responses. This chart may provide explanations of actual performance achieved in controlled plants and help to select adequate specifications.
