A Mossbauer spectroscopy determination of the Fe content in alpha- and alpha'-phases of titanium

摘要
The phase compositions of Ti1-xFex (x = 0.0005, 0.002) alloys quenched after isothermal annealing were investigated by Mossbauer spectroscopy method. The temperature dependence of Fe solubility in the alpha - Ti (the maximum Fe contents in alpha - Ti C-alpha(max) = 0.00045 quenched from the temperature T = 1083 K) and the maximal Fe contents in alpha'- Ti (C-alpha'(max) = 0.0003 quenched from the melt) were determined. The time of establishment of the equilibrium phase composition was estimated. The obtained results have been compared with the available data, the possible causes of discrepancy were considered.
