摘要
An industrial ammonia converter containing one packed bed of magnetite catalyst and three beds of ruthenium catalyst and auto-thermally regulated was successfully modeled using 4 years of plant data. Over time, kinetic degradation was demonstrated, and by refitting the exponential factor for ruthenium catalyst, predictions were accurate again. The complete model for the ammonia converter predicted inlet bed temperatures within +/- 4.9% accuracy and final ammonia concentrations within +/- 10.3% accuracy.
