摘要
Glass facade office buildings are becoming more popular in China, but their impact on energy consumption is little researched. The double-skin facade presents a possible solution for energy efficiency in highly glazed. buildings for China. In this paper, a comparative analysis of heating and cooling loads of a typical office cell with double-skin facade is made against a single-skin facade and a traditional window-wall facade in the climatic condition of Shanghai. The coupling of the spectral optical model GLSIM and the dynamic thermal model HTB2 is used as the simulation method. Simulation results indicate that both heating and cooling energy savings can be achieved using a reflective double-skin facade with the appropriate choice of ventilation method.
