摘要
Emergent response was built immediately on May 12, 2008 in China after the catastrophic earthquake occurred in Wenchuan, Sichuan. In order to solve disasters, government-dominant mode is established. It is necessary to research the role of government on the background of emergency of natural disaster. Based on positive rescues and conjunct support from nation and society, quantitative analysis is one of important means to testify the role of a government. This paper does some comparative analysis on social development between 2007 and 2009, which is involved by three indexes, namely, the number of employed persons by the type of an industry, basic conditions of transportation and average incomes and expenditures of the urban households. According to the detailed data analysis, the positive role of government can be evidenced in an emergency of a natural disaster.
