Study on hard coal combustion in heating boilers equipped with a steam-fed afterburning chamber

摘要
Solid fuel boiler with the nominal heating power 18 kW was fired with black coal only or with addn. of max. 3.6 kg/h steam to combustion or afterburning chambers. The steam addn. to the combustion chamber resulted in a decrease of particulate matter content with a small decrease in NOx concn. and a large increase in CO content in the exhaust gas, while steam addn. to the afterburning chamber resulted in a decrease of particulate matter content with a slight decrease in emission of CO and NOx.
