摘要
Structural changes in tolerant calli that occur during salt adaptation of Pisum sativum calli are described. Ultrastructural studies, made in the sensitive and adapted calli of Pisum sativum, revealed that salt-tolerant calli showed several changes when compared with sensitive calli. Cells from sensitive calli were characterized by having large vacuoles, whereas salt-tolerant calli showed reduced vacuoles. There were changes in the appearance of plastids and in the accumulation of lipid bodies in cells of salt-tolerant calli. Cells with incomplete cytokinesis and anormal walls were seen in salt-tolerant calli. In these cells peroxidase is found mainly in the cell wall and in the intercellular space.
