In the paper, the results of the experimental studies concerning the effects of an eccentricity of axial flow impeller (propeller or HE 3) on the momentum transfer process in an agitated vessel have been analyzed. Experiments were carried out in the un-baffled vessel of inner diameter T = 0.3 m, using computer-aided electrochemical method. Distributions of the transport coefficients in the region of the vessel wall were numerically integrated. Averaged values of the shear rate, friction coefficient, shear stress and dynamic velocity as a function of the impeller eccentricity and diameter, as well as modified Reynolds number are correlated by means of suitable equations.
