摘要
A dual-polarized two-element Vivaldi array antenna recessed inside a lossless metallic cavity is presented. A novel approach based on properly integrating the array with a flared cavity is used to achieve a resonance-free ultra-wideband antenna with high gain, good impedance match, and low side lobe levels (SLLs)<-25dB over more than 4:1 bandwidth. Designed antenna is characterized experimentally and computationally and high-quality far-field performance is demonstrated.
