摘要
Commercial activated carbon Norit R3-ex was demineralized with concentrated HF and HCl acids and next heated in an Ar atmosphere at various temperatures (950, 1500, 1800 and 2100 degrees C). For all samples adsorption-desorption isotherms of benzene vapor were determined and X-ray diffraction measurements were performed. On the basis of adsorption data porous structure characteristics were evaluated (by using DA, DS, HK and FR equations) and surface areas of meso- and micropores as well as BET surface area were calculated. XRD pattern changes in crystallic structure were obtained. On the basis of all, these data influence of thermal treatment of activated carbon on its porosity and structure was discussed.
