摘要
In this paper, we mainly emphasize on controlling pitch angle of a variable speed wind turbine. The variation in the speed of wind, results a random fluctuation at output power of the wind turbine. The goal of this paper is to curtail this fluctuation in power by using different controlled mechanism. Among them, pitch angle control mechanism is most common control technique. In order to control the output power, for wind speed below rated speed, optimization method is introduced. On the other hand, to test the control response, Proportional Integral controller is designed, when speed of the wind exceeds rated speed. This controller is designed, to meet the maximum power of the turbine without any transition. The controller also selects the desired proportional and integral gain for smooth control of power with respect to different speed of wind. For effectiveness of control techniques, all the equations and system parameters were then verified using MATLAB simulation (m file).
