摘要
This study aims to discuss the implementation of multi-module high voltage pulse generator to eliminate Escherichia Coli in water. The designed voltage generator is based on DC-DC boost Converter and capacitor-diode voltage multipliers. The work was implemented by treating controlled water sample which is contaminated with cultured Escherichia coli. High pulsed electric field generated by a DC-DC boost converter and CDVMs was utilized to eradicate Escherichia coli present in the water sample. Various factors such as treatment time, number of modules in series, and Escherichia coli quantity were considered in order to compare and characterized the tests results. Key findings showed that the time needed to treat the controlled water sample was inversely proportional to the number of modules connected in series.
