摘要：

The CMS experiment is in an advanced state of assembly at LHC point 5. Following a thorough test of the solenoid magnet, the detector will be lowered underground and completed in time for the first collisions at LHC. In this article, the status of assembly and sub-system construction is reviewed and the plans for completion are summarized, including consideration of the principal perceived risks to schedule.
