摘要
The article examines some issues related to the planning of the railway network within the circle of the Slovene branch of the Yugoslav Communist Party and its leaders in the 1950s and 1960s. It highlights the often ambiguous stances accompanying railway planning in the post-war period. If on one hand the railway played a significant role in the process of political unification and construction of Yugoslav national ideology, it also was a cause of increasing friction among the Yugoslav republics, as clearly reflected in the game of power fought between Slovene and Serb-Montenegrin authorities concerning the construction of the railway lines Koper-Presnica and Belgrade-Bar.
