摘要：

This study surveyed and collected the urban trunk traffic flow data of Bayi South/North Street in Jinhua. The section between two crossings- Fengting Rd. VS Bayi North St. and Huixi St. VS Bayi North St. (World Trade Hotel) was set as a representative example. It analyzed sections and intersection traffic flow characteristics at the weekday evening peak hour (5:00 to 6:00 pm), evaluated the congestion situation, proposed the further improve measures. Then the effectiveness of the promote measures were evaluated by applying software VISSIM simulation of trunk road traffic. The results will benefit to raise the urban trunk traffic system capacity, better the traffic jams situation, optimize transportation planning and management measures, and further the sustainable development along the urban trunk.
