On double diffusive convection with Soret effect in a vertical layer between co-axial cylinders

摘要
The equations of double diffusive convection in a binary mixture with Soret effect are considered. Symmetry properties of the equations are used for constructing exact invariant solutions describing a steady axisyminetric motion. It is shown that the obtained solutions can describe stationary flows in a vertical fluid layer between co-axial cylinders with different temperatures. The case when a horizontal temperature difference; is accompanied by a vertical temperature gradient is considered separately. The influence of Soret effect and layer thickness on the flow type is, investigated. (c) 2006 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
