Atomic dynamics in liquid lithium near melting

摘要
We present a self-consistent formalism, within mode-coupling theory, which starting from the static structure of a liquid, allows the calculation of several single-particle and collective dynamical properties of the system. This formalism has been used to study the dynamical properties of liquid lithium near the melting point. The obtained results for the intermediate scattering function, the velocity autocorrelation function and the self-diffusion coefficient, show a good agreement with the corresponding molecular dynamics simulation results.
