摘要
Intense optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) is observed, for the first time, in X irradiated KBr:Eu and KClxBr1-x:Eu phosphor ceramics. The peak in the stimulation spectrum for the OSL red-shifted with increasing Br content of KClxBr1-x:Eu phosphor ceramics. The intensity of the OSL with a peak of about 420 nm increases linearly with increasing X irradiation dose over a wide range. The KBr:Eu phosphor exhibits excellent fading characteristics at room temperature (RT) in the dark. The mechanism of fading of the OSL is also discussed.
