Estimation of the thermal conductivity of composites

摘要
In this article we introduce the concept of homogenization for the approximation of the effective thermal conductivity of composites. A simple algebraic approximation method is proposed and shown to yield an upper bound for the effective conductivity. Numerical results are given for uni-directional carbon-carbon composites which demonstrate the validity of the approach. (C) 1999 Kluwer Academic Publishers.
