Development of submicron sized grain during cyclic equal channel angular pressing

摘要
The formation process as well as the orientation distribution of subgrains were monitored during cyclic equal channel angular (ECA) pressing. Pure Al with 99.9% purity was used. The ingot was prepared my melting Al pellets and casting into a rectangular mold. Pure Al after cyclic pressings was analyzed using TEM. The sample had a deformation structure comprised of submicron grain that are elongated in the direction of shear.
