摘要
A variety of hardware architectures and calibration procedures for multiport S-parameter and vector network analyzer (VNA)measurements and their impact on flexibility and uncertainties are discussed. Multiband and multifunction phones are prime consumer examples of products requiring multiport devices. There are many ways to form a multiport VNA, ranging from two-port VNA with some additional switching all the way to structures with N sources and N receivers. S parameter is advantageous, in terms of uncertainty, flexibility and measurement stability, to have at least one receiver per test port.
