摘要
This paper analyzes the modifications of AODV protocol for use in Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) communication in the Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANETs). Probabilistic AODV (PAODV) protocol, a modification of the AODV protocol previously introduced for Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANET), and its modification, called Neighbor PAODV (Nb-PAODV), were analyzed in VANET city scenario using Network Simulator 3 (NS-3). Simulation results were compared according to throughput, packet loss ratio, useful traffic ratio, maximum, median and average end-to-end delay (E2E), and jitter. PAODV protocol is tested for various values of probability parameters in order to obtain their optimal values. Results have shown that proposed Nb-PAODV protocol outperforms PAODV in most basic key performance indicators, especially in the term of E2E delay.
