The inferiority of the Other. Strategies of delegitimization of Latin American politics in the German media discourse

摘要：
The purpose of this study is to represent and discredit the political actors and systems in Latin America throughout the international news in the on-line versions of Tagesschau, Suddeutsche Zeitung and Spiegel during 2016. The authors depict how stereotyped attributions and negative images are produced when introducing Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia and Venezuela. This results in a delegitimization of the political actors and systems, as well as a reproduction of the Latin American inferiority.
