摘要
The removal of heavy metal pollutants from wastewater has become an important issue because of their adverse effects on human health and the environment. Heavy metals can be removed from wastewater with a large number of approaches, and the biomass materials are considered to be low cost and efficient adsorbents for heavy metal. In this research the batch experiments were conducted to test the ability of modified pomelo peels for the removal of cadmium and zinc from wastewater. The adsorption capacity for Cd2+ and Zn2+ both increased with the increase of adsorbent dose. The best removal percentage appeared at an optimum pH value of 5 for Cd2+ and 4 for Zn2+.
