摘要
This paper presents a study of the morphological response to river training in the Lower Yellow River. River training works protects the banks from erosion and controls the flow to run smoothly in the channel. Well - planned river training works can play a crucial role in limiting channel shifting and migrations, which are typical behaviors of the Lower Yellow River. As a result, a relatively stable channel can be established. Experiences in the Lower Yellow are valuable to river engineering for flood control and are of importance to understand the morphological response to river training works.
