摘要
Mobile ad hoc networks (MANET) is a kind of wireless network that can be deployed instantly and provide easy network communication without the support of pre-established network infrastructures, such as base stations. This network architecture brings promise of much better mobility and communication capacity. In order to facilitate communication within the network, a routing protocol is used between a pair of nodes so that message may be delivered in a timely manner. In this article we identify various techniques used for classifying routing protocols for MANET. Comparisons of their characteristics are given according to their routing strategies and relationships.
