Ethylenediamine grafting on a zeolite-like metal organic framework (ZMOF) for CO2 capture

摘要
A zeolite-like metal organic framework with a sod topology (sod-ZMOF) was grafted with ethylenediamine via a condensation reaction between the amine species and uncoordinated carboxylic acid groups in the framework. sod-ZMOF before and after amine grafting was characterized by X-ray diffraction, N-2 adsorption-desorption isotherms, elemental analysis and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy. Ethylenediamine-grafted sod-ZMOF exhibited a similar to 30% increase in CO2 adsorption capacity and higher capture selectivity against N-2 than the original material, which also exhibited excellent stability in the cyclic CO2 adsorption-desorption measurements.
