A study of the gas diffusion electrodes for chlor-alkali membrane cell

摘要：
Simple making method of an aggregate from dispersion of reaction layer for the gas-diffusion electrode was investigated. The carbon blacks of the hydrophilic part and the hydrophobic part of the reaction layer were used AB-12 and No.6, respectively. These carbon blacks were dispersed and added PTFE dispersion and then, was coagulated by alcohol. This method was simpler than usual method. The performance of the gas diffusion electrode loaded with Ft (0.56mg/cm(2)) using this aggregate was 0.84V vs.RHE at 30A/cm(2), 80 degrees C, 32% NaOH, 1 atm O-2. Cell voltage runs at 2.0V,when this electrode is used as an oxygen cathode for ion exchange membrane cell.
