摘要
In this study, the effect of traumatic brain injury to the emotional intelligence was examined. It was identified by testing the difference of emotional intelligence among (1) types of injury (traumatic brain injury-non traumatic brain injury), (2) injured area of brain, (3) level of traumatic brain injury, and (4) injured area and level of brain injury. The participants in this study were twenty. They were asked to fill the emotional intelligence scale designed by the researcher. The data obtained was analyzed using non-parametric approach. The results showed there was significant effect of traumatic brain injury to the emotional intelligence (Z=-2.546; p<0.05). Meanwhile, there was no significant effect found to the emotional intelligence among the injured area of brain (chi-square=1.107; p>0.05), level of brain injury (Z=-1.226; p>0.05), and both; the injured area and the level of brain injury (F-.302; p>0.05).
