摘要：

Paper deals with support of renewable energy sources in two different countries of European Union - Portugal and Slovakia. Present situation in the energy sector focus on renewables in both countries is described and analyzed with aspects to the European energy policy which both countries had to implement to their national policies. Paper compares different approach in energy sector and in the renewable energy support in those countries, with respect to geological and climate conditions and moreover with respect to the different national background.
