摘要：

Iodine mediated desulfuritive cyclization of insitu generated thioamides serves as efficient and versatile method for the synthesis of imidazo[1,5-a]azines with excellent yields. Substrates such as 2-methylanninoquinoline and pyrazin-2-ylmethanannine also undergoes the corresponding reactions at room temperature. This method has the advantages of mild conditions, short reaction time and high yields.
