摘要
The two-dimensional time-harmonic wave propagation problem in generic "double stratified" media is considered. We focus on the closely related problem of the junction of two optical or acoustical slab waveguides. An original mode matching method is applied, generalizing the usual approach for closed waveguides to the case of open ones. It is described by means of "generalized Fourier transform", leading to a - numerically well suited - well-posed variational problem whose unknown is the trace of the solution on the one dimensional infinite junction interface.
