B.M. Teplov's ideas on feeling as culture phenomenon

It is customary to consider B.M. Teplov's work in the field of nervous system features studies (after LP. Pavlov) to be his most important work. The author argues that his contribution in-to the theme of <<Personality and culture>> (together with L.S. Vygotsky) is no less important. The notion of feeling as ability to assimilate value-sense connections of cultural events (outer sign forms mirroring inner spiritual forms) lies in the core of B.M. Teplov's concept. Its central methodological problem is overcoming of confrontation between naturalistic and culturological approaches.
