摘要
Treatment is based on the etiology in the delirium due to a general medical condition. To determine the underlying cause, different medical departments must work together. Psychiatric consultations are needed when these patients act against the services' rules or become agitated. We present a case where the patient was evaluated for the agitated behavior in the emergency unit and diagnosed as delirium due to datura stramonium intoxication. Our aim in presenting this case is to draw attention to the substance intoxications which are frequently seen in the etiology of delirium cases where psychiatrist take role in the diagnosis and treatment process, and to give information about this widely used poisonous herb for the doctors to keep in mind.
