摘要
Campylobacter jejuni is a common cause of gastrointestinal infection. Bacteremia due to C. jejuni in an immunocompetent patient (with the exception of diabetes mellitus), and with no clinical signs of gastrointestinal infection, is very rare clinical entity. The case is presented here of C. jejuni bacteremia in an immunocompetent 72-year-old man. Following completion of antibiotic treatment with ceftraxone and azithromycin there was complete clinical recovery of the patient and laboratory restoration.
