摘要
The purpose of the present study was to analyze the impact of emotional state on each dimension of organizational citizenship behavior. Specifically, the aim was to emphasize the relationship between the emotional state and the level of organizational citizenship behavior displayed, supported by a statistical significant correlation. Secondly, the study deals with the convergent validity of the two OCB questionnaires specifically pointing out those dimensions of OCB considered to be measuring the same behavior. Results based on a 55 employees sample indicate a modest correlation between the general and recent emotional state and global OCB score, civic virtue and helping scale. As to the convergent validity, correlation between helping and altruism r=.279 (p=.039) is to be discussed. The helping scale also correlates with four other dimensions of OCB, therefore an incongruence of the constructs might come into discussion. Together with the limitation, the implications of the results, both theoretical and practical, are discussed as a starting point for further studies in this direction.
