摘要
This paper presents a method for the fast assessment of voltage stability based on the equivalent voltage stability boundary (EVSB) in a P-Q plane, generated from a unique p-network 2-bus equivalent model of the multi-bus power system. A voltage stability index named SPVC (System Proximity to Voltage Collapse) has been developed using the EVSB to assess proximity of the voltage collapse at any operating condition of the power system. The SPVC has been found to be very helpful for the fast assessment of overall voltage stability of multi-bus power network with a high potential of on-line application. Simulation studies have been carried out in different multi-bus power networks to observe the effectiveness of the proposed method and that has been presented here with the help of a robust realistic 203-bus (Indian Eastern Grid) system.
