摘要
Genetic diversity among twelve mungbean genotypes was estimated following SDS-PAGE analysis. The genotypes were also evaluated for their per-se performance on yield, protein content alongwith presence of trypsin inhibitor in seed. The trypsin inhibitor ranged from 1324.26 TIU/g in PDM 54 to 1502 TIU/g in IC 311420. The protein content ranged from 14.31% in IC 325817 to 36.56% PDM 84 143 and yield plant(-1) was recorded as low as 2.64g in IC 324036 to as high as 12.46 in IC 333153. PDM 54 was also found to be good yielder. IC 333153, PDM 54 and Hinjalgunj with low trypsin content were crossed with PDM 84143 to develop high yielding protein rich lines with low level of trypsin inhibitor. The hybrid between IC 333153 and PDM 84143 showed high heterosis towards desired direction for all of these three traits.
