摘要
This paper addresses the maximum allowable communication latency for a given contingency and control action. Generation shedding has been considered as the discontinuous transient stability control technique. The impact of communication latency on the performance of WAMS based transient stability control has been studied on the perspective of 10 machine 39 bus IEEE test system. Proper justification has been given why TEF provides wrong result in some cases along with how to identify these critical cases.
