摘要
The electronic systems which are used in today's engines are in a very complex structure. In order to understand and comprehend these structures, each system must be examined in sections. In this study, an ignition control system was designed for an original spark ignition engine. The system is controlled by a microcontroller. There is a computer which is connected to the microcontroller card in the system. Speed and load of the engine are controlled by the system continuously. According to load and speed, the optimum ignition advance value is calculated by using the ignition advance map in the computer software and then the result is sent to the microcontroller again. The microcontroller card sends the trigger signal to the circuit according to the incoming ignition advance value and so ignition is provided at the required moment. This new designed control system is capable of changing the ignition advance map. Hence, the system gives an opportunity of changing the ignition parameters if it is desired. It is also possible to monitor the ignition system parameters with this system so that it can be used for educational purposes.
