Effect of gamma-Fe2O3 on the microphase separation in interpenetrating polymer networks based on polyurethane and poly(epoxy isocyanurate)

摘要
The effect of filler (gamma-Fe2O3) on the phase composition of polyurethane-poly(epoxy isocyanurate) semi- interpenetrating polymer networks was studied by method of dynamic mechanical spectroscopy. It was shown that selective adsorption of one component of the polymer blend on the gamma-Fe2O3 surface increased the microphase separation as compared to that in the initial semi-interpenetrating polymer network. However, the degree of component separation is virtually independent of the filler concentration. Additional treatment of the filler with a surfactant decreases the level of microphase separation in the polymer networks.
