We examine the nonlinear dynamics of femtosecond filaments in air at different pressures. Emphasis is placed on the changes in multiple filamentation patterns produced by terawatt laser pulses. Principal modifications induced by pressure variations apply to the onset distance, size, and number of the filaments inside the laser bundle. (c) 2006 Optical Society of America
