摘要
A study was conducted to report the latest developments in synthesis and structural chemistry of nonaqueous actinide complexes. The term nonaqueous was defined to mean those molecules whose crystal structures did not contain water. The nonaqueous molecule was included when it was synthesized using hydrated solids as precursors, but the reaction chemistry was performed exclusively in an organic solvent. All of the actinides were found to be radioactive and synthetic scale experiments were performed with appropriate analyses of hazards and implementation of controls and safety procedures concerning actinide radioisotopes.
