The utility of the phosphonium group as a traceless linker for the solid phase synthesis of small organic molecules is demonstrated by the elaboration of polymer-bound phosphonium salts and their subsequent cleavage to alkyl, alkenyl and heteroaryl products. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd
