摘要
The main aim of this research is to develop a framework of factors which can share knowledge at Al-Madinah International University. Five potential factors are proposed in the model which are - trust, social interaction, motivation, management support and learning orientation which can explain how knowledge can be shared in an organization and when these factors interact than how they contribute in the improvement of knowledge sharing, the following questions will be further investigated. This study used a quantitative approach with a total of 138 participants completed a structured questionnaire, the population of the study was on-campus staff at the university, it's found that motivator factors, such as trust, social interaction, motivation, management support, and learning orientation can explain how knowledge is shared in organizations, this study suggests that building knowledge sharing may have an impact on staff. This study suggests a positive correlation between sharing knowledge and social interaction. The study recommended that Managers and top management at the university will have a comprehensive understanding of the required knowledge sharing level that will help in the process of sharing knowledge. This study will be a tangible addition to the literature in the field of knowledge sharing. The main objective is to try to evaluate the organization knowledge sharing concepts in the Malaysian academic universities, by highlighting the relationship between trust, social interaction, motivation, management support and learning orientation which can explain how knowledge is shared in organizations. The number of studies that focus on Malaysian knowledge sharing is comparatively limited.
