摘要
Scaphocephaly is a type of non-syndromic craniosynostosis with premature fusion of sagittal suture. It is the most common type of craniosynostosis [5]. In the paper the technique of finite element analysis was used to analyze cranial deformation and changes in intracranial pressure, after surgical correction of scaphocephaly. With methods of finite element analysis, an intuitive prediction of surgical results is possible. It could give neurosurgeons possibility to improve surgical treatment in more accurate, safer and faster way.
