摘要
To analyse the impact of the earliest stages of endometriosis on In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) outcome, two subgroups were distinguished: - subgroup A: 5 or less 5 superficial implants on the first laparoscopy - subgroup B: more than 5 implants. A comparison was made between the results of these subgroups and those obtained in unexplained infertility and more advanced stages of endometriosis. Significantly low implantation and pregnancy rates were observed between subgroup A and unexplained infertility which could not be attributed to a poorer embryo quality or to the duration of infertility. These limited forms must be set apart from more advanced stages of endometriosis.
