Effect of Dyeing and Finishing on Fogging Characteristic of Bast Fabric in Automotive Industry

摘要
In this paper, the fogging characteristic of flax and hemp fabric was researched. These fabrics were dyed by reactive and vat dye or finished by flame retardant agents, water repellent agents and anti-UV agents. The fogging values of fabrics were tested. The results show that the fogging value of dyed fabric or finished fabric increased with the change of degrees. The fogging values of dyed fabric were far lower than 2 mg (limited value). Different finishing agent and different dosage of finishing agent affects fogging value of finished fabrics. When concentration of finishing agent was increased, both functional property and fogging values of fabrics increased. The flax and hemp fabric has a consistent rule.
