摘要
Airports and airlines are evaluating less polluting de-icing technologies in response to increasing pressure to protect nearby waters by curtailing runoff of harmful chemicals used to remove ice from aircraft. Kellyn Betts describes novel technologies and approaches aimed at preventing pollution that are being developed and tested, and summarizes prospects for their deployment.
